SilverStar Mountain Resort

  • Apr 5, 2019: “Silver Star offers an Excellent range of ski runs and variety of terrain for winter. A good mix of restaurants, accom at various budgets, and a good variety of organised events with something for most everyone. I arrived in January to stay till the end, and experienced some excellent conditions and long days of very enjoyable skiing. The attracted crowds are generally quite friendly, so travelling solo was not an issue. I easily found new ski friends and enjoyed many social outings. The local town Vernon is less than a half hour away, with most everything you could want, and then about an hour away from Kelowna Airport. I also highly recommend using Silverstar VIP Mountain Driver as your personal driver for airport transfers and more. Fabulous service, great people, and very reasonably priced. Sooo much better than the airport shuttlebus.” 0
  • Apr 5, 2019: “Went here with the family over spring break. Apparently there were a number of small slides the day before, one of which badly injured a guy on the Putnam Creek side (found this out days later in the news - no warnings given when we purchased tickets). So I fully understand them closing the back side and all the black diamond runs for everyone's safety. But when we go to purchase tickets - SAY SOMETHING!! And maybe don't charge full price since half your mountain is down and several lifts aren't operating. Disappointed to say the least.” 1
  • Mar 29, 2019: “We stayed at SilverStar in the Snow Bird Lodge for three nights in November for a XC ski camp. We were impressed by the ease of getting around the friendly staff and the fantastic views. If you are an XC skier the best trails are down at Soveriegn Lake Nordic which is part of their trail system. Buy a joint pass for both areas and you’ll have an amazing time. Oh, and I’m told the downhill skiing is great as well.” 2
