  • Feb 22, 2020: “Came with friends (3 couples, 1 single, 35-40s, one 3 yr old) for an extended weekend over the BC long weekend. No new snow, but the runs were nicely groomed. Only really negative is that the signage on the hill is terrible. As someone who doesn’t know the terrain, this made things really difficult. A constant fear of leading my friend down a hill way beyond her comfort level is never a relaxing time. However, if they fixed this, I’d recommend the hill, especially for groups with varied ski skill sets. There are lots of options for every level, and everyone was happy with the different rubs they were able to do each day.” 0
  • Feb 20, 2020: “Fernie is one of the best places to ski in Western Canada. Awesome skiing, nice snow, and not busy! Hardly any lift lines even during a holiday week. Awesome bowl skiing with super open sections above the tree line. The resort is located close to town making it easily accessible. We would recommend Fernie to anyone! ” 1
  • Feb 2, 2020: “We booked a sleigh ride through Guest Services for Christmas Eve 2019. We have made sleigh rides a Christmas tradition for our family and have tried many different locations through British Columbia. This was by far the WORST experience we have ever had. First, the trails were SO icy that the sleigh was sliding sideways down the mountain and the horses had to continuously GALLOP to keep themselves upright. There were many many times I believed the sleigh was about to slide off of the trail or flip entirely. The sleigh ride operator obviously had zero concern for passengers, because anyone with any common sense would not have been taking guests on this ride in these conditions. We have a 3 year old and a 7 month old baby and my husband had to hold both of them because I felt like if we flipped, I wouldn't be able to protect my children. I was very very afraid and my husband, who is not easily frightened, told me after the ride that he was planning how he would protect our kids when we slid off the trail. The second thing about this ride was that it was no longer than about 12 minutes. Any sleigh ride I have been on has been a minimum of 45 minutes, not that I would have wanted this experience to last any longer. It is just disappointing that there was no indication of length on the website or when booking over the phone. Immediately after the ride I went to guest services to let them know the experience we had and to ask for our money back. I was told there was no manager on duty, but they took my info and told me the manager would contact me after Christmas. I tried to call at the beginning of January and left a message. I have since tried calling a few more times and no one will answer or get back in touch with me. This has obviously left a very bad taste in my mouth and my family and I will not be returning to Fernie mountain. ” 2
