Founded in 2004, the Smith Family built Howling Bluff Estate Winery and vineyard from scratch on our farm on Three Mile Rd that is now part of the famous Naramata Bench wine region. We released our first vintage, the 2006 Sauvignon Blanc, in the spring of 2007. Four BC Lieutenant Governor awards, one Silver in the Decanter World Wine awards, one Red Wine of the Year award, and too many other accolades to count later, Howling Bluff is now focused on finding the best expression of our vineyard for our wines while making sure we create a legacy of a sustainable family winery that our children will continue with far into the future. From our solar panels to our biodynamic, organic and â most importantly to us â sustainable farming and winemaking practices, added to our efforts to buying local when possible to our most ambitious mission yet: to use, as much as possible, products that have the lowest possible footprint on our planet.

What’s our story? Our Langley winery was where it all started, but this is where it all happens! The story of our Okanagan winery might start with a tasting in our wine shop, and a friendly conversation over a few sips as you learn about our history on the Naramata Bench. We are a working winery and there will be no mistaking that fact when you come and visit. Take a look around back and you are very likely to see our winemaker Mary McDermott at work. Our goal? A warm welcome. Our desire? Constant elevation of the senses and the experience of wine, and a future memory that begins with, “Do you remember when we tasted that wine?”. Our staff are here to start you on a journey to get to know us, our wines, everything we love about wine. Now that you’ve discovered Township 7 Vineyards & Winery, we’re sure you’ll become a part of our own band of wine lovers, and we’ll see you and share a glass…soon.

The float starts at the Coyote Cruises launch site at 215 Riverside Drive. If you need floating tubes and a ride back to your vehicle Coyote Cruises will provide both. If you are looking to rent a tube or raft or simply require transportation once you are done floating the Channel, Coyote Cruises can help you out. They can pick you and your tube up at the half-way mark or if you wish to float to the end, they will be there too.
